How We Got Started
What began as a few cookie orders from friends and neighbors quickly grew into something bigger. People loved the treats (and Brit!), and soon they were asking for cakes too! Her little baking project became the talk of the neighborhood, and it wasn't long until she discovered her true passion.
Baking became more than a way to fund volleyball, it became a core part of who she is. Beyond the joy of creating delicious sweets, Brit found herself deeply inspired by the sense of community, warmth, and togetherness that baking brings. For her, it's not just about the treats; it's about making people feel at home.

Hi! I'm Britney!
The kitchen has always been my happy place. Growing up, I spent countless hours baking cookies and cakes with my mom, discovering the joy of bringing people together through food and desserts. My love for baking deepened when I was 16. I started selling cookies to help cover the costs of club volleyball. What began as a way to fund my passion for sports, turned into a true calling, shaping me into who I am today.
My family's journey is a big part of my story. In 1975, during the Vietnam War, my parents and their siblings immigrated to the United States with nothing but hope and determination. Their resilience and hard work laid the foundation for my dreams, and their love for family and tradition continues to inspire me.
After earning a Division 1 volleyball scholarship and completing my college career, I felt a pull to return to baking. Supported by my family and guided by my faith, I founded Brit's Batch Coffee and Bakery- a place where every cup of Vietnamese coffee honors my family's incredible journey. To everyone who has supported me along the way, thank you for being a part of this story. I look forward to serving you all here at Brit's Batch.
With love,
Britney Ong
